Unit 3: Effective Communication in H&SC
This unit focuses on communication. Clear communication is essential in health & social care in 1-1 situations and also in group situations. In emergencies, it saves lives. In less urgent situations it helps people understand their care and helps teams of care workers to give better care.
This unit will look at different forms of communication and how they are used in health & social care. It will also consider the barriers to communication that different individuals will face and how these can be overcome, and the best ways of communicating with individuals & groups of people.
