Unit 4: Social Influences on Health & Wellbeing

This unit gives an overview of how we develop our beliefs about what is right and wrong and how relationships, social class, income and education affect health and well-being.

Primary socialisation, learning acceptable behaviour from our family, and secondary socialisation, learning from the wider community, affects our heath & well-being too.  Relationahips & social factors affect our health and well-being and hence the care required.

By understanding the impact of these factors, health & care professionals can plan and deliver the right type of care needed by individuals
